All Roads Lead to HAIR

HairDAO runs a telehealth business, a research lab, a full-time team, and a growing patent portfolio — all owned by a single 501(c)(4) nonprofit with one governance token. No equity to buy, no separate vehicle for the patents, and no cap table above you: whatever HairDAO builds, it all reports to $HAIR.

TL;DR: HairDAO runs a telehealth business, a research lab, a full-time team, and a growing patent portfolio. Every one of them sits under a single nonprofit owner, and that owner has a single governance token. There is no equity to buy in the telehealth company, no separate vehicle for the patents, and no cap table above you. We have also added a second, smaller token for the lab, and even that one routes its proceeds back to the same place. Whatever HairDAO builds, it all reports to $HAIR.

Why HairDAO is built as a family of one

A DAO can vote, but it cannot sign a lab lease, hold a bank account, prescribe medication, or be granted a patent. Real-world work needs real-world entities. So HairDAO is organized as a family of them, built deliberately with a single head.

At the top is the HairDAO Association, a Wyoming unincorporated nonprofit association registered as a 501(c)(4) and governed entirely by HAIR holders, one token one vote. Its purpose is singular: advance the research and product development needed to cure androgenetic alopecia and help patients everywhere. The Association is also where the HAIR treasury and all governance live.

Owned by the Association, and doing the actual work, are three companies:

  • Anagen LLC: our telehealth business. Anagen sells physician-prescribed hair-loss treatments, both proprietary and non-proprietary, and is live in all 50 U.S. states. It has its own bank account and real, recurring revenue. It starts with hair loss, and the same engine can extend to new indications and new countries.
  • Hair Inc.: the operating company. It employs every full-time member of the team and signs the lease on our research lab. It has its own bank account and is a genuine taxpayer.
  • HairDAO Payments LLC: the vault. It holds the patent portfolio, the formulations and IP that come out of the lab.

Three companies, each doing real work in the world. One owner. The Association sits above all of it. And the Association has exactly one governance token: HAIR.

That is the whole point. There is no Series A in Anagen. There is no separate equity in the patent company for a fund to buy. There is no founder cap table sitting between you and the work. The entire enterprise ladders up to one nonprofit parent, and HAIR is the token of that parent.

Every dollar has the same destination

The strength of a single-owner structure is that it does not matter where value shows up, because it always ends up in the same place.

  • Telehealth revenue. Anagen sells treatments today, in every U.S. state, and keeps the margin inside the family.
  • The patent portfolio. Every formulation the lab develops becomes IP held by HairDAO Payments LLC. The portfolio is an appreciating asset and a competitive moat.
  • Licensing. That IP can be licensed to partners and manufacturers. Each license is a stream that originates outside the DAO and terminates inside it.
  • The lab and the team. Hair Inc. turns resources into discoveries, products, and more patents, the flywheel that feeds the other three.

Four different doors, one building. Because a single nonprofit parent owns all of it, none of that value leaks to an outside shareholder, a competing token, or a private cap table. It consolidates upward into the Association, the one place where the mission, the treasury, and the token all live.

The lab token feeds the same engine

We recently launched a second token, the HairDAO Laboratory Token (HLT), on pump.fun. It is worth being precise about what it is, because it follows the same logic as everything above.

HLT is a laboratory utility token. It carries no governance vote, no treasury rights, and no claim on the Association. What it does is convert market energy into funded science: activity around the lab drives trading volume, creator fees accrue, and those fees are remitted to the HairDAO treasury on a regular cadence, tagged as research funding. From there, HAIR holders vote those funds into real work, including bench experiments, data labeling, tooling, and publications.

HLT also doubles as an access pass: holders can unlock Anagen.xyz discounts and proprietary research and data views, which brings in new contributors and customers who have not yet engaged through governance. In short, HLT widens the top of the funnel and turns participation into funding, and HAIR converts that funding into outcomes.

Two rules keep the relationship clean:

  • HAIR first, always. At any published discount or access threshold, a HAIR holder receives the same or a better benefit than an HLT-only holder. Any HLT-specific incentive is designed to encourage HAIR holding, with the best benefits unlocking when you hold both.
  • Governance stays HAIR-only. Every budget approval, research priority, partnership, and parameter change is decided by HAIR. HLT can earn access parity over time, but never governance.

One more thing worth saying plainly: HAIR has funded everything we have built so far, including the very lab the HLT flywheel now helps support. HLT adds to that. It is one more tributary into the same river.

One asset, by design

When a project spreads itself across a token and private equity and side vehicles, it splits its own incentives. Insiders optimize the thing they own, and everyone else holds the thing that is left. The public token becomes an afterthought.

HairDAO is built so that cannot happen. The people building Anagen, the scientists in the lab, the team at Hair Inc., and the community all point at the same object. When the telehealth business grows, when a patent issues, when a license is signed, when the lab token trades, there is no question of who benefits. It all reports to the same parent and is directed by the same token.

This is also what the 501(c)(4) structure is for. The Association exists to advance a mission, and its commercial subsidiaries operate independently and at arm's length. Value those businesses generate flows up to the parent and is put back to work on the mission and on the ecosystem HAIR coordinates. HAIR carries no dividend or price promise. It is the single point of ownership, governance, and alignment over the entire effort.

Built to compound

A fair question: if value flows up, why not pay it back out today?

Because the goal is a cure, and the enterprise that delivers it. Anagen is an early, fast-growing business. The lab produces IP that compounds. The most valuable thing HairDAO can do with a dollar of margin, a dollar of license income, or a dollar of routed lab fees is reinvest it: more formulations, more patents, more states, more indications, more shots on goal at androgenetic alopecia. Mature organizations pay out. High-growth ones plow it back in. HairDAO is unambiguously the latter.

All roads lead to HAIR

One mission. One owner. One governance token. A telehealth business, a patent portfolio, licensing, a lab, a team, and even a second utility token, all built under a single nonprofit parent and all directed by HAIR. There is no other instrument of governance, no competing equity, and no cap table standing between the work and the people who back it.

Align around the mission. Align around HAIR.
