When selecting a hair transplant clinic in Turkey, the surgeon's credibility was my top priority. I chose AEK Hair Clinic because an AI recommendation highlighted Dr. Karadeniz as one of the few surgeons with a fellowship in the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. To my surprise, my actual experience differed from my expectations in a few key areas: The Facility: The surgery took place in a residential apartment rather than a standard medical clinic. The Procedure: The vast majority of the surgical work was performed by two female technicians. While they appeared to be highly experienced—and if my results turn out well, it will undoubtedly be thanks to their skill—Dr. Karadeniz's direct involvement was minimal. Qualification Clarity: Following the procedure, I expressed my surprise to the doctor and asked about the formal qualifications of the two technicians. Instead of providing professional or certified credentials, his response was quite defensive, stating only that they had been working with him for a long time. While AEK’s marketing claims to offer a premium, doctor-led experience, the actual practice felt very similar to more budget-friendly, technician-reliant clinics. On a positive note, the communication with the sales team was smooth, and the transportation service provided was excellent.

I was a patient at AEK hair clinic returning for a second procedure , my first was in 2018 which I was happy with it gave me some confidence too return , the clinic has now moved to a different building, I spoke to dr Ali and sent him my photos , next thing I was in Istanbul getting picked up at the airport no waiting around the driver was waiting at the pick up point , straight to the hotel which was a good 5 star ( Selectum hotel and resort) the next day was going to be hair design and chat with dr Ali , I got to his office at 9 the driver picked me up that morning he was very nice person made conversation through Google translate, when I got to the office the technicians who helped dr Ali remembered me from all that time ago , super nice that I must say , they made me feel relaxed, Dr Ali made a big fuss off me and explained that he was going to do a two day procedure at no extra cost as the amount of hair needed, he looked at my hair examined thoroughly and we decided that was the best option, so the next day the driver picked me up at 8:45 and we were at the office at 9 dr Ali was there waiting with his technicians my head was shaved and the procedure started, I felt in good hands the two technicians worked in unison together in a cheerful manner including me into conversation Dr Ali also did a lot of hands on work with design and implementation of the hair graphs , u can tell he cares about his work constantly checking everything vigorously, I always felt comfortable not in pain , in fact it was quite enjoyable must have been the laughing gas , the procedure took about 7 hrs stopping for a very nice lunch provided by AEK , then my head was bandaged and I was on the way back to the hotel ready for the same again tomorrow, the hotel has many people that are having their own transplants, so as u can imagine we all talk and check out each others work , even after my first transplant my hairdresser can’t tell I’ve even had one , and that’s when he shaves my hair down into a buzz cut , Dr Ali will not over harvest your donor area : second day was the same stepping into a friendly environment makes a huge difference when u are in a foreign country, the beauty of AEK is that u are getting an American board of plastic surgeon do a lot of the work on your hair and you will be the only one there getting the work done , not like a lot of places here , third day is washing time same again the driver picked me up and off we went to get my hair washed, I really can’t say enough good things about the clinic, the whole process was made easy for me I felt looked after, thanks too dr Ali and his team ,

I work in healthcare in the United States, so I was initially skeptical about seeking medical care abroad. That skepticism disappeared quickly after working with Dr. K and his team. From the moment I requested a consultation, Ahmet, the coordinator, was extremely professional and helpful. I had many questions, and every one of them was relayed to the medical team and answered thoroughly and promptly. Dr. K is truly an expert. He does not beat around the bush. He is completely upfront and honest about what he can and cannot do, what is and is not safe, the potential risks involved, and the realistic expectations you should have for your journey ahead. Upon arrival, transportation to the hotel was comfortable and convenient. The clinic also provided transportation to and from every appointment, which made the entire experience much less stressful. The clinic itself is clean, warm, and inviting, and the same can be said for the team members. Everyone is kind, approachable, and happy to talk with you not only about your procedure, but about anything at all. I was nervous going into procedure day, but the entire environment immediately put me at ease. This clinic and this team are the real deal. They have been with me every step of the way throughout this process, and I cannot thank them enough for their support and care. You do need to approach something like this with realistic expectations and understand that it is a serious medical procedure. This clinic treats it with the professionalism and respect it deserves, and that gave me a great deal of confidence throughout the process. Post-operatively, the instructions were clear and easy to understand. The follow-up care has been thorough, and it is obvious that they sincerely care about their patients and their results. I experienced discomfort, but never excessive pain, largely because there was open communication throughout the entire process. I always felt informed, supported, and cared for. Again, this is a wonderful facility with an even more wonderful team. I am extremely grateful for my experience with them and would highly recommend this clinic to anyone considering treatment.

Thanks to AEK Hair Clinic. Great professional, compassionate, and highly skilled team led by Dr. Karadeniz, listed as certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) - which was reassuring in the vetting process, and impressed when receiving treatment. This was my 2nd treatment. The nurses are exceptional with their skills of administering local anesthesia, retrieving hair from donor site, and transplanting at recipient site, and are patient centered through their gentle demeanor and wit. The drivers are professional and timely. The clinic manager/ coordinator is good in coordinating the entire transplant experience. The hotel selection was good and the breakfast was very good. The price point may be marked 15 to 20% low, and the entire package in my view would then be considered Golden. However, quality has a value. I am hopeful the results of the transplant will be great. Thanks again to the AEK Clinic team!

I am baffled how reviews are anything but 5 stars across the board, the doctor is THE MOST skilled and only truly BOARD CERTIFIED DOCTOR in Istanbul. Don't waste your time going to the other hair mills with the glitz and glamor, it is nonsense. This is where you need to go if you want good people, every step of the way answering my many questions as coming to the US I was scared, just had my transplant last friday. Went well, be smart invest in good knowledgeable people, with the best hair restoration doctor in istanbul instead of fancy marketing where you'll just be treated as a number. This is the place to go! Ahmet is great too and answered all my questions and will make you feel super comfortable from start through recovery. Top notch!
