This is my second hair transplant, so I have a previous experience against which to compare it. It is still far too early to assess the final growth, as it’s only day 11, but my experience with Dr Mark Tam and his team so far has been excellent. The procedure was very long - around 19 hours for ~4,500 grafts! - and I was impressed by the patience and care shown by Dr Tam and his staff throughout. At no point did I feel that they were rushing to finish. My early recovery has also been noticeably better than after my previous transplant. I have normal sensation across almost the entire donor area, apart from one small area near the top, and I have experienced remarkably little scabbing. After my previous procedure, my scalp was visibly covered in small crusts, whereas this time there were barely any. The emphasis on post-procedure care has been another major difference. The frequent saline spraying during the first few days was new to me, and the detailed daily instructions and follow-up made it clear that the care did not simply end when the procedure was completed. Obviously, the final result will take many months to judge, and I intend to update this review as it develops. However, based on the professionalism, patience, aftercare and service I have received so far, I am extremely pleased that I chose Dr Tam and his team.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Tam. The consultation process stood out immediately. He spent a great deal of time helping me decide whether an FUE hair transplant was the right option for me. He was honest, patient, and never made me feel under any pressure to proceed. I really appreciated that his advice was focused on what was best for me, rather than simply recommending surgery. During the procedure itself, his attention to detail was exceptional. It was clear that he wasn’t trying to rush through the day—he was completely focused on achieving the best possible result, even if that meant the procedure took longer for him and his team. That level of care and commitment gave me a great deal of confidence throughout. If you’re looking for a surgeon who combines technical excellence with genuine integrity and a patient-first approach, I would highly recommend Dr. Tam.

I've now had two procedures with Dr Mark Tam and his team. My first procedure, around six years ago, gave me incredible results. A natural and dense hairline that left me really happy with how my hair looked and felt. I was able to style it with volume and confidence again, just like I had in my early twenties. One of the best things was that none of my friends or colleagues even noticed I'd had it done, which says a lot about how natural the results looked. The timing worked in my favour too, falling just after COVID, so I had plenty of time to recover. As time went on I lost a bit more hair further back, losing some density in the mid area behind the first procedure. Having now found a hair loss solution that has really stabilised my loss, the conditions felt right for a second procedure. Coming back to Dr Tam was an easy decision given the results I achieved last time. He is a top person and was really supportive post procedure for any needs I had. He gave me a lot of control over the design, working through the details together to get it right. This time was 3,300 grafts and a seriously long day, but the team were thorough and attentive throughout. Both procedures I would describe as very easy and relaxed. For me it was painless and tends to go by quite quickly. I was able to listen to podcasts, watch TV and generally distract myself throughout. His team were also genuinely lovely and really supportive throughout, so I can't speak highly enough of them either. For anyone considering a hair transplant, I would 100% recommend Dr Mark Tam. His expertise in the field and results speak for themselves.

Dr Tam and his team are simply amazing. From the initial consultation I felt at ease (I also had the advantage of seeing the results of a friend who had his HT with Dr Tam last year). He is very personable and entertaining. I flew in specifically to have the surgery with him - the pre-op appointment was very smooth and I knew I was in safe hands. The day of surgery was an early start and ended very late into the night. Dr Tam and his team take no shortcuts and are highly experienced in what they do. Unlike a lot of other HT options, Dr Tam is there the entire time and performs the majority of the work himself, and also reviews the work done by any technicians. He also uses a smaller punch than many other clinics, which takes true skill but gives much better results! Aftercare was superb, with follow up appointments before I flew back home. 1 month in and my scalp looks very healthy and I cannot wait for the results to grow in!

I had my hairline procedure with Dr Mark Tam and I wanted to leave a review because I genuinely feel grateful for the care I received. From the first consultation, he came across as calm, honest, and precise. He listened properly, explained the plan clearly, and never tried to oversell anything. That mattered to me because this is not a small decision and you want to feel confident that the person in front of you understands what you are aiming for and will do it properly. On the day of the procedure, Dr Tam was steady and reassuring throughout. His attention to detail was obvious, and the whole experience felt structured, safe, and well managed. The team were also excellent and kept things running smoothly, but Dr Tam’s professionalism and composure really stood out. It is early in the journey, but even at this stage I feel I made the right choice. If you are considering hairline work and want someone who is careful, measured, and clearly takes pride in doing things properly, I would recommend Dr Mark Tam without hesitation.
