After many years of taking medication to help slow my hair loss, I decided to spend a year researching a reputable hair replacement Dr. that only specializes in hair. My search lead me to Dr. Boden and his team. They are over 2hr drive from my home, and I found their services excellent. It’s now 3 weeks after my procedure and I’m looking forward to the next several months of results…
My experience with Dr. Boden exceeded my expectations. I am a 36-year-old man and I still have a decent head of hair, but I began to notice increased thinning in the crown area this year. When the rate of thinning began to increase, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Boden. In the days leading up to my appointment, I began to have doubtful thoughts. I didn’t know whether I was ready to start medical therapy (e.g. Finasteride) – I had concerns about possible side effects. Perhaps the extent of hair loss doesn’t warrant being in a hair restoration center. Maybe I was wasting the doctor’s time… Dr. Boden disproved all of those doubtful thoughts. He took the time to listen to my concerns. He performed a thorough exam – he showed me 50x microscope images of my hair and scalp in real-time, contrasting the hair in different regions and explaining what we were seeing. He gave me very high-quality answers to my specific questions about “post-Finasteride syndrome” in which he demonstrated not only that he is up to date on the scientific literature, but actually understands and can critically evaluate the methods of the studies. You won’t get this type of answer from AI or from a telemedicine consult. His answers gave me the reassurance I needed in order to feel comfortable with starting medical therapy instead of sitting on the sidelines and wondering whether I should start Hims or whether that would be a decision I would live to regret. Dr. Boden prescribed me a formula of topical dutasteride, 10% minoxidil, and progesterone. Such a thing would not be available on Hims, Amazon Pharmacy, Roman, etc., but is possible because Dr. Boden uses a compounding pharmacy. I am excited to start treatment because I am confident in the treatment plan and in Dr. Boden’s expertise. If I opt to have a transplant down the road, I would trust Dr. Boden’s work, which balances impactful aesthetic change with consideration for the long-term to create a stable, lasting, and natural-looking result which I would feel good about for years to come.
Dr. Boden and his team are truly exceptional. From my first consultation through the surgery and follow-up, everyone was kind, courteous, and highly professional. Dr. Boden explained each step clearly, answered every question patiently, and made the entire experience comfortable and reassuring. The care and attention from his staff were outstanding, they treated me with genuine concern and made me feel at ease throughout the process. My recovery has gone smoothly, and their follow-up support has been excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Scott Boden to anyone considering hair restoration. His skill, compassion, and professionalism are unmatched.
Dr Boden is truly an expert at what he does. My wife is a cosmetologist. On the day of my procedure, together they worked on a "design" for where my hair line would start and end, literally using a marker on my head. We discussed where to fill in, and where the incision would be, etc. In my opinion, Dr Boden understands details that can only come with experience, regarding the symmetry of your face and most importantly what would look natural. I did not realize it until afterwards, but each step of my procedure, and then recovery was exactly how he described it. He and his team helped me along the way with any questions. From the timing expectations for my recovery, to when my hair would start to regrow, and how it would look months later. I can honestly say, almost six months after my procedure, that everything he said was spot on. I cannot thank him and his team enough, and appreciate tremendously what they have done for me.
I had a great experience with Dr. Boden. I had my hair restoration procedure with him about a year ago. He has been knowledgeable, considerate, and professional throughout the entire process. I am very satisfied with my results so far. My hair is noticeably thicker where I had the transplant, and it looks natural. I highly recommend Dr. Boden if you are considering hair restoration.
