48 Days After My TransPRK Surgery – Update. Happy to share that my doctor confirmed my distance vision is now 20/20! Over the past couple of weeks, my vision has improved significantly, and I'm now able to work comfortably on my computer without relying on temporary reading glasses. Choosing TransPRK was one of the best decisions I've made. The procedure took only about 7 minutes for both eyes, was completely painless, and involved no incisions, something I really appreciated since I was anxious about the blade-cutting aspect of LASIK. There was some slight discomfort after the surgery, but within 24 hours, I was able to open my eyes comfortably. By the third day, I was already able to drive on my own. Recovery does take a little longer, and my vision fluctuated quite a bit at first, especially when working on screens. Currently, my near vision still fluctuates slightly, but my doctor says it should continue to improve over the next few months. Overall, I'm very happy with the results. Being able to see clearly without glasses or contact lenses has been a huge relief. It has been a life-changing experience. Big thanks to Dr. Rabee Hilal of Burjeel Hospital Reem Island. He was very accommodating and professional throughout the entire process. As well as Nurse Marianne for being so professional and positive throughout the whole experience.
