Firstly I would like to say that I am a plastic surgeon myself in Dubai so it is with great insight that I write my review of Dr Ilhan. Firstly I chose him as my surgeon as he is a plastic surgeon, a member of the International Society of Aesthethic Plastic Surgeons (of which I am also a member) as well as the International Society of Hair Restoration surgeons - this was important for me as I know the value of these credentials. Secondly he performed the graft harvesting himself, which is a very vital part of the procedure (the better the quality of grafts, the better the chance of survival), unlike many doctors who do not do any part of the procedure themselves. Lastly he has maintained excellent communication with me from day 1 which is very important when considering medical tourism. My procedure went very smoothly thanks to how professional and efficient Dr Ilhan and his team were with very clear post operative instructions and follow up on Day 2. I have trusted him as a colleague and very happy with my decision with how good everything has gone so far.
I had the operation 28th of February 2026. Doctor Ilhan was fluent in english so there was no communication problems. He was around my father’s age and I am about the same age as his son so he treated me like a son. The operation went smoothly, I even fell asleep. I’ll update review with before and after pictures once the hair grows I’m looking forward to seeing the results in few months. Teşekkürler!
Dr. Ilhan Serdaroglu provided an exceptionally pleasant hair transplant experience from start to finish, demonstrating a high level of professionalism, skill, and genuine care. The procedure was smooth and well-organized, the clinic staff were attentive and reassuring throughout, and Dr. Serdaroglu took the time to clearly explain each step, which made the entire process comfortable and stress-free. His expertise and calm approach inspired confidence, and I am very satisfied with both the experience and the results so far.
At the beginning of this year, I did hair transplant surgery with Dr Ilhan Serdaroglu. I can honestly say that I am very happy with the choice of doing the surgery with him. The entire procedure went very smoothly and I continuously felt like I was being cared for and had all the support I needed. Both before and after the surgery, Dr Serdaroglu was very happy to answer my questions via email, and this really made me feel a lot more relaxed about the operation. Everything felt very transparent throughout. It was clear to me from the beginning that Dr Serdaroglu prioritizes the needs of his patients and the service that he provides, rather than money, marketing, or volume of patients. This is something that made him stand out from the many other clinics that I contacted. Dr Serdaroglu provides fairly priced offers, and will taylor the offer to the needs of his patients. I also found Dr Serdaroglu to be very friendly and easy to chat to, as were the rest of his staff. Ten days have now passed and my head seems to be healing quickly. No scabs on the donor area remain, and the scabs on the recipient area should fall off soon. Dr Serdaroglu has made it clear that we will remain in touch throughout the healing process and that I can contact him in the future if I have any further questions. I can honestly recommend anyone thinking of doing a hair transplant to consider Dr Serdaroglu. May thanks :)
I had a good experience with Dr. Ilhan Serdaroglu in Istanbul. I chose him as my surgeon based on the fact that I had seen several positive reviews on independent forums like reddit where he took on for advanced cases of hair loss (NW 5-6) like myself. He communicated directly with me in English. He only performs one operation a day and does all of the extraction himself while physically overseeing the implantation process. He was able to perform a total transplant of 6250 grafts split over two surgical days by taking 2050 grafts from my beard on the second day saving me from having to go back for a second trip 6-12 months later to address the crown / vertex area. He made sure I was comfortable during the procedures, there was minimal pain with the anesthesia and almost none during the procedure, I actually slept for several hours one both days during the implantation process (which made it pass by quickly). He provides lots of post-op instruction and personally responds to any after care questions or concerns. His clinic also helped to arrange transportation to and from the airport as well as hotel accommodation, which were included as part of the operation cost. The cost was reasonable given his level of involvement, upfront and honest. When we did not need to take as many grafts from beard on the second day he adjusted the cost appropriately. It has only been 12 days, but at this time I am pleased with the results and the healing is going well. I was able to return work 7 days after the procedure without needing to cover the area. The only ones who noticed are those that know me well and all had positive remarks about how it looked. Thank you Dr. Serdaroglu and staff.
